  • A spare or fully charged DualSense

Why this matters

GTA 6 is the biggest gaming launch in years. Nothing is worse than sitting down at midnight and realising your PS5 does not have enough storage, your controller is dead, or your display is running at 60 Hz when GTA 6 supports 120. This checklist covers every category - storage, hardware, display, audio, streaming, and game-day steps - so you are not scrambling on the night.

The storage estimate (~150 GB) is a planning figure based on RDR2 and current-gen AAA sizing. Rockstar has not published an official install size yet. Check the storage planner for the latest figures and SSD recommendations.
