Privacy
Last updated: 13 June 2026. This is the plain English version of how this site treats your data. The short answer: we collect almost nothing, because there is almost nothing to collect.
What we collect
- No accounts, no logins. You cannot create an account here, so we never hold your password or profile.
- Interactive tools run in your browser. The Readiness Check and Loadout Builder process your answers locally. Nothing you enter is transmitted, stored, or shared.
- Hosting logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) records standard server logs such as IP address and user agent for security and performance. We do not use these to identify visitors.
- Analytics. When analytics are enabled they will be aggregate, used only to understand which content is useful, and this page will be updated to name the provider.
Affiliate links
Outbound retail links are affiliate links (see the disclosure page). When you click one, the retailer (for example Amazon) sets its own cookies on its own site so the purchase can be attributed to us. That attribution is anonymous to us: we see totals, never who bought what. Retailer cookies are governed by the retailer's privacy policy, not ours.
Newsletter
The Bench Report is strictly opt-in. When signups open, your email address will be stored with our email provider solely to send the newsletter, every issue will include a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing deletes you from the list. We never sell or share the list.
Your rights
We operate from Australia and aim to meet the Australian Privacy Principles, and the spirit of the GDPR (EU) and CCPA (California). Since we hold no personal data about visitors today, most requests are already satisfied by default. For anything else, including questions or complaints, contact hello@launchdaygear.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes
If our data practices change (for example when analytics or the newsletter go live), this page changes first and the date at the top moves. Material changes will be noted in the newsletter once it exists.
