LAUNCH DAY GEAR

Privacy

Last updated: June 2026. This is the plain-English version of how this site handles your data. We do not run user accounts, but we do use standard analytics to understand how the site is used, and outbound retail links are affiliate links. The detail is below.

What we collect

  • No accounts, no logins. You cannot create an account here, so we never hold a password or profile.
  • Interactive tools run in your browser.Tools like the Readiness Check, Storage Planner, and Loadout Builder process your answers locally in your browser. Anything saved (for example your launch-prep checklist progress) is stored only in your browser's local storage, not on our servers.
  • Analytics (Google Analytics 4). We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, which pages are useful. It collects standard usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location (country or region), device and browser type, and the referring site, and it may set cookies. We do not use it to identify you personally.
  • Product analytics (Microsoft Clarity). We use Microsoft Clarity, which records anonymized session activity (clicks, scrolling, and aggregated heatmaps) to help us improve layout and usability. Clarity may set cookies and captures interaction data; it masks text you type by default. We use it only to improve the site.
  • Hosting logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) records standard server logs such as IP address and user agent for security and performance. We do not use these to identify visitors.

Cookies

The analytics tools above (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) may set cookies in your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's official browser opt-out add-on. If we add advertising in the future, we will update this page before any ad cookies are served and provide a consent option where it is required.

Affiliate links

Outbound retail links are affiliate links (see the disclosure page). When you click one, the retailer (for example Amazon) sets its own cookies on its own site so the purchase can be attributed to us. That attribution is anonymous to us: we see totals, never who bought what. Retailer cookies are governed by the retailer's privacy policy, not ours.

Your rights

We aim to meet the spirit of the GDPR (EU), the CCPA (California), and the Australian Privacy Principles. The personal data we hold is limited to the analytics described above. To ask a question, make a request, or raise a complaint, contact hello@launchdaygear.com and we will respond within 30 days. You can opt out of analytics at any time through your browser settings or Google's opt-out add-on.

Changes

If our data practices change (for example if we add advertising), we update this page first and move the date at the top.
