GTA 6 PS5 Controller: The Limited-Edition DualSense, Explained
Sony is releasing two limited-edition GTA 6 DualSense controllers, one black and one white, on November 19 for $84.99. Here is what they cost around the world, where to get one, and whether it is worth it over a standard pad.

What Sony announced
Sony revealed the controllers in early September 2026. There are two: a black edition and a white edition, both themed on GTA 6. In the PlayStation Blog announcement Sony said they “each capture the essence of Vice City”. Pre-orders opened on September 10 at 10am local time, and both release on November 19 alongside the game.
| Region | Price, each |
|---|---|
| United States | $84.99 |
| Eurozone | 84.99 euros |
| United Kingdom | 74.99 pounds |
| Japan | 12,480 yen |
Both versions are sold through PlayStation Direct in the regions where it operates. Availability at other retailers varies by region, and Sony describes both as limited, so if you want one for launch, pre-order rather than waiting for shelves.
Is it worth it?
Only if you want the design. Sony has not announced any hardware differences from a standard DualSense, and GTA 6's controller features are DualSense features rather than limited-edition ones: Sony's GTA 6 page lists haptic feedback, adaptive triggers with dynamic resistance, and the controller speaker. Any DualSense gets those.
In practice the $84.99 edition costs roughly $10 more than a standard DualSense at its usual price, and that premium buys the look and the collectability. If you would rather spend more on performance than looks, the DualSense Edge adds back buttons, adjustable trigger stops and swappable sticks; we cover the tradeoffs in our DualSense Edge review.

No GTA 6 PS5 bundle, yet
As of November 1, 2026, Sony has not announced a GTA 6 PS5 console bundle. The closest thing is the Midnight Black PS5 Digital Edition, which launches on November 19 too, but it is sold only in Japan and is not packaged with the game. If you need a console, buy it and the game separately, and check the which PS5 for GTA 6 quiz first.
