GTA 6 Characters: Every Character Rockstar Has Revealed

Rockstar has introduced eight characters so far: the two leads, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, and six supporting players across Leonida's smuggling, music and heist worlds. Here is who each one is, in our words, with the official artwork and a line from Rockstar's own character notes.

Jason Duval

Protagonist

Jason grew up around grifters and small-time crooks, joined the Army to straighten himself out, and drifted to the Leonida Keys running jobs for local drug smugglers. He lives rent-free at one of Brian Heder's properties in exchange for work. Rockstar frames him as a man who wants an easy life and keeps getting pulled the other way.

“Jason wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder.” Rockstar Games

Lucia Caminos

Protagonist

Lucia was raised to fight, and fighting for her family put her in the Leonida Penitentiary. The story picks her up fresh out of prison, determined to make only smart moves and to chase the comfortable life her mother has wanted since their days in Liberty City. Rockstar says a life with Jason could be her way out.

“Lucia's father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk.” Rockstar Games

Dre'Quan Priest

Aspiring music mogul

Dre'Quan sold on the street to get by, but music was always the goal. He co-runs Only Raw Records with Boobie and has been booking acts into Boobie's strip club. Signing the rap duo Real Dimez may be his ticket into the wider Vice City scene.

“Dre'Quan was always more of a hustler than a gangster.” Rockstar Games

Raul Bautista

Bank robber

How the characters connect

Rockstar's character notes sketch three circles that overlap around Jason and Lucia.

  • The Keys crew. Jason works for Brian Heder, who lets him live rent-free in exchange for jobs, and Cal Hampton is both Jason's friend and another of Brian's associates.
  • Only Raw Records. Boobie Ike and Dre'Quan Priest run the label together, and Real Dimez are their new signing. Boobie's strip club ties the music world to Vice City's nightlife.
  • The heist world. Raul Bautista is a career bank robber who is always looking for new talent for his crew.

Rockstar's story premise is that an easy score goes wrong and pulls Jason and Lucia into a criminal conspiracy that spans the state. How these circles feed into that is exactly what the game will reveal on November 19. For the places they come from, see the GTA 6 map and regions.

Not confirmed yet

  • The voice cast. Rockstar has not announced who plays anyone. The names fans attach to Jason and Lucia are unconfirmed.
  • Returning characters. None have been announced. The closest thing is the Ultimate Edition's revolvers, which Rockstar describes as having Vice City stylings sourced from the Vercetti Estate, a nod to 2002's GTA Vice City.
