GTA 6 Cheats: What We Know So Far

No official GTA 6 cheat codes exist yet. Here is what Rockstar has done historically, why third-party sites claiming codes now are not credible, and when to expect the real thing.

The short answer: No official GTA 6 cheat codes exist. The game launches November 19, 2026. Rockstar does not release cheats before launch. Any list of GTA 6 codes you find on another site right now is invented. This page will publish confirmed codes once the game ships.

Why there are no codes yet

GTA 6 has not launched. Cheat codes in GTA games are baked into the shipped game code. Nobody outside Rockstar has access to that code right now.

The situation in June 2026: the game date is confirmed (November 19, 2026, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S), some trailers have been released, and that is the extent of public information. There are no review copies out, no preload files to datamine, and no official Rockstar announcement of a cheat system.

Any website claiming to list working GTA 6 cheat codes today is making them up. The codes will not work because the game is not out yet and because the codes do not exist yet.

What Rockstar's track record looks like

Every mainline GTA game since GTA III has shipped a cheat system in single-player. The pattern holds across platforms and eras.

GTA V (2013, still active): cheats entered as controller button sequences or by dialing phone numbers in-game. No pause menu required. Codes covered vehicle spawns, wanted level, health and armor, weather, invincibility, and a range of player state changes. None of them worked in GTA Online.

GTA IV (2008): phone-dialing system similar to GTA V, where you entered a number on the in-game cell phone. Codes for health, weapons, vehicles, and wanted level.

GTA San Andreas (2004): button-sequence cheats on controller, plus a separate system for the PC version. The consistent features across all entries:

Single-player only. Online modes have always been cheat-free.
No cheat availability before the game ships.
Codes surfaced within hours to days of launch via community play and datamining.
Rockstar has historically neither actively promoted cheats nor tried to suppress community-compiled lists.

Nothing in what Rockstar has said publicly about GTA 6 contradicts this pattern continuing.

What we genuinely do not know

Beyond the existence of cheats, there are real open questions:

Will GTA 6 keep the phone-number system, the button-sequence system, or introduce something new?
Will any cheat categories from prior games be dropped or expanded?
Will there be any in-game toggle or unlock system tied to story progress?

These will not be answerable until the game ships. We will update this page when we have real answers.

FAQ // Straight answers

Are there any GTA 6 cheat codes?

No. As of June 2026, no official GTA 6 cheat codes exist. The game has not launched. Rockstar does not release cheat codes before a game ships. Any site claiming to have working GTA 6 codes right now is fabricating them.

Will GTA 6 have cheat codes?

Almost certainly yes, for single-player. Every mainline GTA game from GTA III onward has shipped with a single-player cheat system. There is no reason to expect GTA 6 to break that pattern. The codes are typically discovered or released around or after launch.

Do GTA cheats work in GTA Online?

No. Cheats in GTA V were disabled in GTA Online from day one, and Rockstar has consistently blocked cheat systems in online modes. Expect the same separation in GTA 6: cheats in story mode, no cheats in Online.

How did cheats work in GTA 5?

When will GTA 6 cheats be known?

Typically within the first day or two of launch. The GTA modding and datamining community surfaces cheat codes quickly after release, and Rockstar sometimes acknowledges them officially. The real codes will be on this page as soon as the game is out.
