Can Your PC Run GTA 6?
Four questions: your GPU, CPU, RAM, and free storage. The report shows how your rig compares to estimated requirements. Note: official PC specs do not exist yet. These are estimates dated 2026-06-15, based on RDR2 and current-gen console hardware - this page will be updated when Rockstar publishes official numbers.
Answer all four steps to generate the estimate
How the estimates work
GTA 6 has no official PC release date and no official PC system requirements as of June 2026. These estimates are derived from three reference points: Red Dead Redemption 2 PC minimum and recommended specs (Rockstar's most recent PC release at comparable open-world scale), the hardware inside the PS5 and Xbox Series X (AMD Zen 2 CPU, RDNA 2 GPU equivalent to roughly an RX 5700 XT), and the typical uplift AAA developers target above console when writing PC minimum specs.
Storage estimates are based on GTA 5 (around 100 GB), RDR2 (around 150 GB), and the expectation that GTA 6 will be at least as large. PC installs may exceed console sizes at higher quality presets. The SSD guide covers fast storage options for both PS5 and PC.
FAQ // Straight answers
Are these the official GTA 6 PC requirements?
No. Rockstar has not published official GTA 6 PC requirements as of June 2026. The PC version follows the console launch (November 19 2026) and no PC release date has been confirmed. The figures in this tool are estimates dated 2026-06-15, derived from Red Dead Redemption 2 PC requirements, PS5 and Xbox Series X hardware specs, and typical AAA open-world scaling. This page will be updated the moment Rockstar releases official specs.
When does GTA 6 come to PC?
GTA 6 launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19 2026. A PC version has not been officially announced or dated. Based on Rockstar's history with GTA 5 and RDR2, a PC port typically follows 12 to 18 months after the console release, but this is speculation - not a Rockstar announcement.
What GPU do I need for GTA 6 on PC?
Based on estimates only: an RTX 2060 or GTX 1660 class GPU is the estimated minimum, and an RTX 3070 or RX 6700 XT class card is the estimated recommended level. These figures are derived from RDR2 requirements and the scale of GTA 6's open world. Official requirements from Rockstar will supersede these estimates.
How much storage does GTA 6 need on PC?
Rockstar has not announced a PC install size. Based on GTA 5 (100 GB), RDR2 (150 GB), and typical AAA open-world growth, we estimate 100 to 150 GB of free space will be needed. PC installs sometimes exceed console sizes due to uncompressed assets at higher quality settings. Official figures will be published here when confirmed.
