Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Cheats
GTA: San Andreas has 90+ classic built-in cheats that are typed as words on PC (HESOYAM, BAGUVIX, AEZAKMI, etc.) or entered as controller button combinations on PlayStation and Xbox during normal gameplay (no pause, no console). A confirmation message appears on screen when a code activates. The Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition uses the SAME codes (with a handful of changed/added effects noted per cheat), and mobile uses a typed-keyboard method. Codes are toggles or one-shot spawns and most can be entered anywhere in the game world.

Heads up // Using ANY cheat permanently disables Achievements/Trophies for that save session on Xbox, PlayStation, Steam and mobile (Definitive and classic). Always keep a separate clean save BEFORE enabling cheats. Some cheats cannot be turned off once activated and can corrupt or break missions/progress (notably weather, jetpack, flying, gang and pedestrian-riot cheats), so saving during an active cheat session is risky. Several spawn/effect cheats can cause crashes or soft-locks in specific missions. These are official, offline single-player cheats only: there is no legitimate online mode for San Andreas, so there is no online-ban risk, but never use third-party trainers/injectors. PC typed codes and console combos are identical between the original and the Definitive Edition except where a cheat is marked as Definitive-Edition-specific or as having an original-vs-Definitive combo variant.
How to enter cheats // PC
During normal gameplay (do NOT pause and there is no developer console), simply type the cheat word on your keyboard, e.g. HESOYAM. Codes are not case-sensitive. A 'Cheat Activated' style message appears in the top-left. Works in both the original/Steam version and the Definitive Edition.

On the full ID list
San Andreas does not use a numeric item-ID/spawn-ID table like ARK/Skyrim; its full cheat set is roughly 90-100 fixed cheats, the great majority of which are captured above across PC word codes and PlayStation/Xbox button combos. A small number of very rarely used / region-overlapping combos (e.g. the secondary 'hillbilly' vs 'rural' variants, the in-vehicle 360-degree aim cheat 'OUIQDMW', and full-aim/drive-by toggles) and the duplicate-combo edge cases in the PS2 list are not all enumerated here. For the single most authoritative cross-referenced tables see the GTA Wiki (Fandom) 'Cheats in GTA San Andreas' page and GTABase.
FAQ // Straight answers
How do you enter cheats in GTA San Andreas?
On PC, type the cheat word during gameplay (no menu or text box needed) and a confirmation appears. On PlayStation and Xbox, press the listed button combination while in-game. Codes are not case-sensitive and take effect immediately.
What is the money cheat in GTA San Andreas?
There is no pure cash-only cheat in the original game. The widely used HESOYAM code on PC gives a health, armor, and money boost together. On consoles the same effect is triggered by a button combination instead of a typed word.
Do cheats disable saving or trophies in GTA San Andreas?
In the original PC, PS2, and Xbox releases, cheats do not block saving and there are no achievements or trophies to lose. In the Definitive Edition, using cheats can disable trophy and achievement progress for that session, so check before relying on them.
Are GTA San Andreas cheat codes different in the Definitive Edition?
Many are the same, but the Definitive Edition changed some console button inputs and the way cheats are entered. PC players typically still type the classic words, while console combinations may differ from the 2004 release, so use a list matched to your version.
What is the jetpack cheat in GTA San Andreas?
GTA San Andreas includes a cheat that instantly spawns a flyable jetpack. On PC it is a typed word, and on PlayStation and Xbox it is a button combination. The full code for your platform is listed in the table above.
Is there a flying cars cheat in GTA San Andreas?
Yes. A dedicated cheat makes most land vehicles fly when you accelerate and tilt, and a separate code spawns vehicles like the Hydra or Rhino tank. Both have PC typed words and console button combinations, listed by platform above.
