ARK: Survival Ascended / Evolved Cheats

ARK has no old-school button cheats; instead it exposes a developer admin-command console that works in single player and on private servers where you have admin rights. Commands such as "cheat god", "cheat fly" and "cheat GiveItemNum" toggle god mode, flight, spawn items and creatures, and more. In single player no password or prefix is needed; on multiplayer servers you must authenticate with "EnableCheats <password>" and prefix commands with "cheat" or "admincheat". Item and creature IDs number in the thousands, so the most-searched ones are listed here with the authoritative databases cited for the rest.

Heads up // PC-friendly but available on all platforms via the admin console. Console commands are NOT available on Official servers (PvP/PvE) - only single player, non-dedicated sessions, and private/unofficial servers where you hold the admin password. There are no Steam/console achievements in ARK that get disabled, but using cheats on a server you do not administer is an instant ban-able offense and EnableCheats requires the real admin password. Spawning items/creatures or using god mode can destabilize a save (overweight stacks, glitched dinos that spawn inside you with SpawnDino, broken structures) - back up your save first. Type creature/item IDs exactly (case-sensitive class names) or the command silently fails. Commands and class names occasionally change between updates and between Evolved and Ascended; verify against the cited wikis.

How to enter cheats // PC

PC: Survival Evolved: press Tab to open the console. Survival Ascended: first enable Settings > Advanced > Console Access (toggle On), then press the tilde (~) key in-game; press ~ again to fullscreen the console. In single player, type commands directly. On a multiplayer server, type 'EnableCheats <AdminPassword>' first, then prefix commands with 'cheat' or 'admincheat'. Press Enter to execute.

All: In SINGLE PLAYER no password and no prefix are required. On a MULTIPLAYER SERVER you must run 'EnableCheats <password>' once per session, then prefix every cheat with 'cheat' (effects only you) or 'admincheat'. FAQ // Straight answers

How do you enable cheats in ARK: Survival Ascended?

Open the in-game console first. In single-player or as an admin, press the Tab key (or your bound console key) to open the command bar, type the cheat, and press Enter. On a server you must enter the admin password with the enablecheats command before commands will work. On console you open the pause menu and use the admin command field.

What is the god mode command in ARK?

God mode is enabled with the cheat god command, which makes your character invulnerable to most damage. Note that it does not always prevent drowning, so a separate infinite-stats or no-oxygen approach is sometimes used. Re-entering the same command toggles god mode back off.

How do you fly in ARK: Survival Ascended?

Use the cheat fly command to detach from the ground and move freely in any direction, then use the walk command to land again. Flying is commonly paired with god mode and is useful for exploring the map, building, or reaching otherwise inaccessible areas.

Do cheats disable achievements in ARK: Survival Ascended?

Generally, using admin commands and cheats is intended for single-player, private servers, or admins, and many guides note that heavy cheat use can affect the legitimacy of a playthrough. Trophy and achievement behavior can vary by platform and patch, so it is safest to assume enabling cheats may block some achievements.

How do you spawn items and dinos with commands?

Items are spawned using a give-item command together with the item's ID or blueprint path and a quantity, while creatures are spawned with a summon or spawn command plus the dino's class name. Each item and dinosaur has its own ID, so you reference the specific code for whatever you want to create.

Do ARK cheats work on Xbox and PS5 or only PC?

Admin commands are available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation, but PC has the fullest console access. On consoles you typically enter commands through the admin command field in the pause menu after enabling cheats, and a host or server admin controls access in multiplayer sessions.
